Episode 72 // If you want spiritual growth or family discipleship, you need to know God’s Word and know how to apply it to your life. Yes, life is busy. I know you’re tired. And I know that you’re trying so hard!
I also know that the Bible is your best source of wisdom, hope, patience, and encouragement. And if you are a busy Christian mom who wants to lead her family in following Jesus, you can’t do it without diving into the Bible.
So in today’s episode, we’re getting practical. When life is so busy, how can we grab time in God’s Word? When the Bible is confusing, how can we understand what it says? What needs to happen to actually apply God’s wisdom to our everyday family life?

Episode 71.5 // Friday Faith Followup
Communication can be difficult with anyone - but sometimes, it's hardest within our own family!
Why is it that we argue with our husbands in ways we would never argue with anyone else?
Or we get upset with our kids for things that we can easily stay calm about for other people?
I’ve experienced this in my own life, and I’ve watched it play out for so many families in the counseling room. We often struggle with communication most frequently in our family relationships.
In today's quick bonus episode on the podcast, we're talking about why this happens - and what we can do about it.
Let’s dive in.

Episode 70.5 // Friday Faith Followup
As we talk about self care this week, let me address a common pushback that I hear in the church. Some people believe that “self care” is not appropriate for Christians.
I disagree. And in today’s episode, I want to encourage you with the biblical reasons I see for investing in self care (good, healthy, and genuine self care!) and ideas for how to live it out in the best possible way - for God’s glory and your family’s good.

Episode 70 // What do you think about when I say… “self care.” Do you think it’s something selfish? That you’d never have time for it? Is it a buzzword that you’re not really even sure what it means?
It is my goal with this podcast that you will love your people well… and a big part of that is loving YOURSELF well. Partly because you matter! But also, let’s be honest, because loving ourselves helps us love others. We can give to our kids when we have the emotional energy to give. We can show patience, kindness, and compassion when we’ve first been filled up ourselves.
And a big part of that is self care.
So that’s what we’re talking about today, friend. What is “self care” and why does it matter? How does it help you AND your family? Is it realistic for a busy mom? Is it appropriate for a Christian woman?
Good questions. Let’s dive in.

Episode 69.5 // Friday Faith Follow-up
Motherhood is exhausting. Hopefully, it is also joyful and fun and meaningful… but at times, it can completely wear us out.
What do we do when that happens? When we feel like we’re at the end of our rope, with nothing left to give our kids (or anyone else)?
We come to Jesus.
